Active Recreation & Strategic Planning

Our Victory Garden is dormant for the winter now. The volunteers covered, cleaned up and winterized the area.  We look forward to spring 2022 planting.

We added some additional items to the recreation center. Pickle Ball equipment was purchased and the public works department will be adding pickle ball lines to our already existing hockey rink. We have had many residents ask for a pickle ball court over the years. A corn hole game as well as basketballs have been purchased as well. We already have a basketball court so we should be in good shape for some real active recreation.

In November, our strategic planner met with our mayor and our local food pantries and talked through the needs of each facility. It was a very productive meeting. The second meeting is scheduled in December where the plans will be finalized and the strategic plan will be proposed, discussed and finalized.
